Job Title: Prep Cook
Reports to: General Manager
Classification: Full-time, hourly pay
Starting wage: $20 per hour

About this job:
 

As a Prep Cook, you will have a hand in crafting the many house made ingredients that make GGET special. You will work out of our commissary kitchen, preparing savory food ingredients and/or beverage prep ingredients for daily delivery to our coffeebar locations across Los Angeles. You will accurately and efficiently carry out kitchen set up, savory food prep cooking, beverage ingredient prep cooking, and kitchen break down.


What will I do?
 

You will…

  • Execute all aspects of commissary preparation in an organized, efficient manner
  • Operate kitchen equipment with care and safety
  • Efficiently execute daily list of food prep and/or beverage ingredient items
  • Operate blender and hydraulic press to create nut milks
  • Utilize kitchen knives and other tools
  • Operate blenders and hydraulic juice press to create house made nut milks
  • Manage inventory by appropriately restocking and rotating stock of both incoming and outgoing items
  • Ensure all work is consistently conforming to GGET standards of quality
  • Always be aware of tasks that must be completed during shift, and communicate them as necessary to other staff members via Slack, whiteboard or in person

  • You have a CA Food Handler’s Certification or the willingness to attain one within 30 days of hire
