Description
Must be willing and able to:
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety.
• Assist service team with beverage and food service.
• Perform team service as instructed by the server/host/manager.
• Keep the tables free of dirty dishes, empty glassware, debris, empty bottles etc.
• Keep ashtrays clean: No more than 1-2 butts in the ashtray according to standing operating procedure.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas, including the outside area.
• Remove used bar and glass wares to bus tub in a prescribed manner.
• Mechanically and manually wash and sanitize bar and glass wares.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and restock supplies as needed.
• Become proficient at servicing a 6 table station within 2 weeks of start date.
• Complete all sidework as assigned in a timely manner.
• Complete coffee orders according to standing operating procedure.
• Prepare and/or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, prepackaged beverages.
• Have POS/Register experience
• Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, bagels, snacks
• Be able to describe menu items to guests or suggest products that might appeal to them
• Take guest orders and convey them to other team members for preparation
• Remove in a single trip, all final items remaining on the table of a party of four.
• Clean and reset a table according to standing operating procedure.
• Perform functions contained in BARBACK and PORTER job descriptions.
• Properly change CO2 and soda dispensers.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
• Perform calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
• Communicate problems to management immediately.
