Who are we? 

Gibbet Hill Farm is a 1.5 acre, minimal-till diversified farm located in Groton, MA.  We farm a mix of vegetables, herbs, some perennial fruit, microgreens, edible and cut flowers, along with raising a small herd of lambs and pigs. This will be our fifth season using a minimal till system and organic practices. We are primarily dedicated to supplying produce to our chefs. Due to the abundant productivity of the farm we were able to add a CSA component just this last season.

What will you do?

The Field Crew members will work with the farm manager and assistant manager on all aspects of field and greenhouse work, including field preparation, seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting and processing.  Crew members also make restaurant deliveries and help with livestock chores.  The farm manager firmly believes in learning through doing and aims to provide a focused, efficient work and learning environment.  

Essential Job Functions:

• Field work

• Restaurant deliveries 

• Livestock chores 

• Small construction projects
• Occasionally instructing and working alongside individual volunteers
• Acting as a liaison between the farm, chefs, CSA members and the general public

Qualifications:

• Previous farm experience is preferred
• Interest in minimal till, regenerative agriculture
• Must have a valid driver’s license.  
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
