At Gregorys, we believe that respect for our coffee and respect for our customers go hand in hand. So we take freshly roasted beans grown by skilled, dedicated farmers all over the world and prepare them for you in a way that will fit your needs without sacrificing the quality of the coffee.

Gregorys Coffee is expanding and coming to Washington DC early this fall! We're looking for positive, passionate, hardworking coffee lovers to join our team. At Gregorys we value innovation, positivity, humility, ownership, learning and offering a WOW guest experience and we want our teams to do the same.

Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist the Store Leader to maintain company standards.
Function as a role model to staff by performing all store functions as necessary, demonstrating good work habits, encouraging clean and safe work habits and promoting positive attitudes toward guests.
Performs opening duties as needed.
Instructs the store’s staff regarding job responsibilities and company standards on an ongoing basis.
Provide new employees with initial job training.
Provide continuing education to the staff to ensure standards are being upheld and the team keeps up with review standards.
Ensures coffee quality is being maintained to company standards.
Ensures equipment is being cleaned and maintained appropriately; contacting a technician if service is required.
Ordering product, maintaining and stocking inventory.
Ensures merchandise, and product are full, displayed properly and maintained as necessary.
Ensures the store is kept clean at all times, is properly merchandised, and escalates issues as needed.
Receives and examines deliveries for discrepancies and resolves problems promptly.
Maintains the store standards by being compliant with the NYC Health Code.
Lead inspectors through the store during a health inspection and sign off on the inspection

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Enforces company policies with all employees.
Assigns daily duties and supervises store personnel to ensure smooth daily operations.
In the event a store leader is not present, perform opening and closing duties as needed.

Skills:
Oral Communication Skills
Fluent English
Strong desire to learn about coffee
Ability to work with coffee equipment to ensure coffee is brewed properly.
Customer Relations and gracefully diffusing conflicts
Excellent customer service
Math Aptitude / Money Handling
Professionalism
Ability to train and coach
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Operate Point of Sale System

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
