Description
Hawksmoor is opening in an incredible restaurant space in New York: a beautiful National Historic Landmark built as The United Charities Building in 1893 with an incredible 10 metre ceilinged assembly hall that will form the main room of the restaurant. The location is just off Park Avenue South and north of the prestigious Gramercy Park and Union Square. The restaurant will be 170 seats with a 50-cover bar and will be opening early 2020.

Reporting to the General Manager, we’re looking for a brand-new Reservations Manager to join our team and open our first international restaurant in New York.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Leading the reservations team with excellent service and hospitality to the Hawksmoor standard.
• Ability to motivate, train, teach, guide and nurture the reservations team.
• Responsible for the setting up, running and breaking down of each service on reservations.
• Excellent rapport with your team and guests.
• Ability to expertly run reservations and Maitre D to ensure smooth and successful services.

To be considered for the role you will have:

• Extensive experience running some of the best reservation’s teams at the top restaurant and bars in New York.
• Experience launching and opening restaurants in New York and the US.
• Comfortable and experienced with high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
• Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create an incredible culture and work ethic within your team.
• Top management and interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with all departments.
• Exemplary product knowledge of food and beverage.
• Excellent leadership skills with ability to teach, coach and train your team.
• Ability work closely with the Restaurant Marketing Manager to drive the business forward.
• Experience with restaurant systems, reservation platforms and technology.
