Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to operate the hotel’s laundry facility and to ensure there is an adequate supply of linen available to meet the demand of the hotel. Operate and monitor washing, drying and machinery including adding chemicals and lint traps. Transport and replenish linens from laundry room to storage and guest rooms. Sort, wash, dry, and fold linen. Store and organize items stored in laundry room, supplies/storage closets and linen rooms. Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and product quality in accordance Company and Brand standards. Maintain professionalism at all times. Possess technical knowledge and aptitude.

Skills
Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
Proficient in English. Bi-lingual a plus.
Adaptable and willing to assist other departments in time of need.
Be organized and work well in a fast paced team environment.
High School Diploma preferred.
Have an outgoing personality.
Professional appearance and grooming must be adhered to at all times.
Uniforms must be worn according to Company and Brand standards.
Maintain professionalism at all times.
Work a flexible schedule.
Ability to attend and complete required Company and Brand training.
Obtain any locally required certification as needed.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Occasionally up to 50 lbs. with assistance
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand and walk for an extended period of time. Move up and down stairs, elevators and or service ramps.
Proficient with operating laundry equipment.
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience with general knowledge of cleaning chemicals preferred
