Hotel Indigo Stratford upon Avon is at the heart of our fascinating neighbourhood and is surrounded by everything that this famous market town has to offer. Steeped in a history that roots back to medieval times, it was, of course, the great William Shakespeare who turned Stratford into a magnet for visitors around the world.

We are looking for an experienced Spa Manager to open & manage our new Spa & treatment rooms. Someone driven by their passion to create a memorable guest experience, leading & inspiring a team of therapists to develop a relaxing & enjoyable working environment, whilst keeping guest experience and satisfaction at the heart of what they do.
We are looking for someone hands on to build and develop our Spa to a high standard. Self-driven and motivated but friendly, caring, creative and a problem solver. You will be responsible for leading a team of therapists across several treatment rooms, as well as all recruitment, induction, engagement and training and development.

As the Spa is a new venture, an understanding of Spa set up is essential as the role encompasses all aspects of initial development such as sourcing products, treatment menus, IT set up, sales and marketing to proactively pursue publicity opportunities and develop the Spa’s marketing strategy.

You will also be required to ensure legal compliance at all times in the areas you are responsible for and managing your department budget to ensure costs are controlled.

What we are looking for……

• At least 1-year experience in a Head Therapist position or Senior Therapist or Managerial role within a Spa environment. Must come from a licensed therapist background
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of treatments, procedures and products
• Proven experience of achieving financial targets for Spa revenue
• Confidence in recruiting and training a full Spa team, whilst implementing operating procedures to a high standard
• Controlling operating costs and payroll
• Commercial acumen to enable new opportunities to be unlocked
• Proven track record in motivating a team to achieve organisational standards and targets
• Exceptional customer service standards, attention to detail and communication skills
• A positive attitude towards working within the wider hotel environment, liaising with our management and reception team to maximise spa exposure and sales
• Proven standards of IT skills and management of accounts
• An ability to manage the health and safety of the spa, therapist team, and customers
