What you’ll do

As a House Porter, you'll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests:

  •  You will be responsible for seamless service, discretion, intuitive, and flexible during the day. This will include eye for detail, thoroughness and hygienic, all to ensure our guests receives nothing but the best experience.
  • Sometimes our guests have special requests involving special set-ups, additional supplies, moving furniture, collection of supplies, deep cleaning of guest rooms and even special occasions. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our House Porters

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of a House Porter, but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.

The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. These currently set as:

  • Monday to Friday: 07:30 - 23:00 
  • Saturday and Sunday: 08:30 - 23:00

 

What you’ll bring

Essential Skills and Experiences

  • Previous experience in a 5star hotel - at least 1 year, as a housekeeping/linen porter performing light/deep leaning, housekeeping , maintenance tasks and service through assigned property
  • Verbal communication skills – English is the primary language used in our hotel.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • The ability to work on your own.
  • Customer service skills.
  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and endurance.
  • The ability to organise your time and workload.

Preferred Skills

  • Carrying out of –heavy lifting, furniture moving, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, linen counting ,stock taking, stock distributing, guest assisting and team work
