Event Sales Manager/Coordinator


Description
We are currently interviewing for positions at two new venues opening in NYC and Englewood Cliffs NJ.

- Sells event spaces within the bar and restaurant

- Write and finalizes contracts

- Establishes, develops and maintains positive business relationships on behalf of Kellari Group with both new and existing clients

- Works closely with both the Front of House Managers and Executive Chef to coordinate the events

- Managing sales and liaising with existing and potential clients

- Proven history of guest service success that clearly showcases and understanding of both guest and sales growth

- Sell and negotiate pricing, that is within the agreed upon guidelines, for events

- Performs marketing and sales pitches to sell and prospect repeat and new group catering/sales business as directed by the Director of Special Events

- Work closely with the Director of Special Events to determine yearly budget and sales goals

- Greets clients at all events to ensure a smooth transition and welcome

- Coordinate events and ensure superb event execution

- Contacts both FOH and BOH daily (written and verbal) to discuss group specifications, arrival, departure, function services, etc.

- Strong communication with Management Team

- Assist Operations Management in overseeing events and providing support as needed

- Maintains accurate reports and follows up in a timely manner with internal and external requests

- Ensure professionalism of all materials received by clients

- Must have complete knowledge of all the items the restaurant and bar has to offer (food, beverages, specials) and its components (décor, room specifications, equipment)

- Able to answer questions about ingredients and allergies, preparation, description of the menu items

- Knowledge of all table numbers and layouts

- Respect for fellow employees and guests

- Reaches bends or stoops to assist set up or during service

- Verbally communicates with guests/potential clients in person and on the phone during the entire shift

- May carry 20 lbs., removing chairs, moving tables, highchair for BEO’s


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: :

- Proficient with Tripleseat

- Prospect, create relationships and close sales

- Language Skills - fluency in English, both written and verbal, is necessary to perform the job

- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Tripleseat, Mailchimp proficient

- Knowledge and experience in Restaurant and Bar special Events/Catering sales necessary

- Strong Sales and Negotiation skills

- Exceptional Customer Service skills

- Strong leadership and management skills

- Generate and make meaningful proposals to clients

- Identify and deliver on ideas that will provide better return on investment for meetings and events and/or efficiencies that will improve profitability

- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications

- Creates and prepares Banquet Event Orders (BEO) in accordance to Haswell Green's financial and operational guidelines

- Must maintain tact and remain cool under pressure
