Description
As an Assistant Kitchen Supervisor at Kizuki each day you will be focused on excellence. Our Assistant Kitchen Supervisor brings the Kizuki dining experience to life by greeting customers, directing kitchen production each day to make the highest quality ramen and izakaya that leaves our guest with a positive dining experience. You and your team are front and center in our open kitchens where you have a direct impact on the guest experience.

Position Summary
 Supervise, coach and develop Back of House team members including Cook, Prep and Dish
 Provides leadership, support and guidance to team members to ensure that food quality, standard operating procedures, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service are met
 Lead the back of house by rallying team during busy shifts, resolving conflicts and getting the job done
 Problem solving: being able to come up with a solution quickly when dealing with issues including: employee conflicts, irate customers and wrong vendor orders
 Assistant Kitchen Supervisors can expect long days around hot cooking elements, much of it on their feet
 Purchases food and supplies to meet daily production needs
 Must be able to communicate effectively with Front of House staff, General Manager and Corporate team members
 Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required including web-based reports on both desktop and tablet computers
 Recruit, interview and train new Back of House team members
 Training kitchen team members on all stations based on business needs to maintain a highly productive team working under an efficient schedule that meets labor budget
 Maintains a kitchen that is clean, organized and inviting to our guest
 Follow through on daily quality check by performing all company directed quality check list and maintain high standards in the store
Qualifications
1. 2+ years or more of related experience
2. Ability to obtain or presently hold a Washington State Food Handlers Card
3. Serve safe certified, a plus
4. General understanding of soup production, HACCP, TAAC
5. Ability to interpret and analyze reports on food cost, labor and sanitation
6. Knowledge of and the ability to use a PC and Microsoft Office Suite
7. Written and oral communication skills
8. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
9. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
10. Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks in a timely fashion
Additional Requirements
1. Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time
2. Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
3. Flexible schedule
4. Ability to be stand and work on his/her feet for minimum of 8 hour per workday.
5. Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, with or without reasonable accommodation
6. Comply with, coach and model a professional and clean Kizuki dress code
7. Ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant personnel
8. Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and employees
9. Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
