The Role: The Executive Chef oversees, directs and coordinates the planning, organizing, training, and leadership of the restaurant and its staff necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.

The Essential Duties:

- Ensure that all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training programs are followed and completed on a timely basis
- Train and motivate all FoH and BoH staff to consistently perform top quality service
- Analyze cost and quality of food production, manage within a set budget and adheres to procedures in accordance with company policies
- Promote and practices highest regards of sanitation and safety work habits through trainings and education of day-to-day staff
- Create and approve weekly schedule for Back of House staff per company policies and procedures
- Achieve sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
- Produce and maintains the highest food quality and controls for all food products served in the restaurant
- Ensure all new employees and existing are thoroughly trained on the expectations of LDV service standards, kitchen protocols, recipes, product quality and overall product presentation

The Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of Executive Chef experience in fine-dining and high-volume environments with sales volume in excess of 4M in year
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Hospitality Management is preferred, but not required
- NYC Food Handlers Certified
- Micros and SevenRooms knowledge a plus
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds often
- Ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods of time
