La Favola is a locally sourced Italian restaurant opening near the Mosaic District in Fairfax. Brought to you from from the owner of Bon Vivant Cafe + Farm Market in Alexandria, we are excited to be branching out into handcrafted Italian cuisine and are looking for an enthusiastic General Manager to join our team.
If you love Italian food and want to be a part of our exciting new concept of authentic freshly made pizza and pasta, this is the job for you!
We are looking for a General Manager to join our team that will:
• Be a leader in the La Favola experience.
• Bring an enthusiastic attitude to their work environment
• Be a natural problem solver
• Take care of the personnel and operations of the restaurant responsibly.
• Be a self-starter in making decisions to improve service, ensure budgets are met and improved upon where possible.
• Ensure customers are enjoying the La Favola experience and make efforts to enhance the friendly ambiance of the restaurant.
• Resolve customer service issues if they arise.
• Examine equipment and request/manage repairs where necessary.
• Hire or terminate employees as needed.
• Communicate with owners to maintain a seamless management team.
• Enforce food safety practices, and generally enforcing a high quality of restaurant
• Clearly communicate expectations with staff, and oversee appropriate training. Monitor staff to maintain a high quality.
• Acknowledge positive and negative behavior through performance reviews.
