SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Our US Outlet Team is looking for a Merchandise Planner. With 40 open outlet locations, we are seeking an experienced Planner, who can handle high volume, and a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will not only be the gate-keeper of all sales and inventory information, but additionally needs to be able to analyze and communicate the results of all weekly reports and make business decisions to support the team in its entirety.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and execute replenishment and weekly allocations based on Sales, Store and product performance
• Develop and manage allocation strategies by category and by store Focus on business metrics that lead to profitability (Sales, Margin, Receipts, Sell thru)
• Provide support analytically by creating and upgrading all reporting and processes
• Build and monitor inventory stock models by store
• Communicate with stores regarding product needs and inventory levels
• Recommend transfers and consolidation based on inventory levels

Performance Requirements:
Pre-Season –
• Analyze style/sku level performance in season and make promotional/rebuy recommendations
• Develop and update store volume clusters and capacity.
• Conduct size selling analysis, and integrate results into size planning for allocation

In Season –
• Generate all weekly, daily, & monthly planning reports – be the point person with any follow up questions
• Read and react to Store feedback daily / weekly as appropriate
• Analyze sales unit performance reports, and incorporate the results into future business decisions
• Provide information for the Business Review
• Analyze store-level inventory productivity (WOS, T/O)
• Track inbound-to-warehouse receipts for timely allocation to stores
• Analyze historical sales performance to identify drivers of trends that diverge from expectation
• Analyze selling and inventory by store-style-size for selected deliveries to stock balance
• Understand impact of promotional strategies and pricing on sales and margin forecasts
• Execution of pricing and promotional events
• Review and correct pricing errors, as well as assist in informing the stores of the pricing and promotional activity
• Monitor the promotional environment looking to the competitors strategies

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, and 3-5 years of retail buying, planning or financial analysis experience
• Outlet experience is mandatory.
• Self-starter and detail oriented, with excellent follow-through skills
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong command of retail math concepts, applications and statistical analysis
• Results driven; strategic, conceptual and innovative thinker
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications—advanced Excel a must
• Flexible, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, rapid paced environment
• Strong planning and forecasting skills
• Decision making capability clearly driven by developing strategic business initiatives through analytics
