Summary Description :

We are looking for an experienced human resources specialist, with a strong retail and compliance background, to update and oversee all areas of legal compliance, and help our Retail HRBP with executing the strategy for our boutiques and outlets. This person will report to the Retail HRBP, working with the broader HR team in the US and France, and serve as a partner to the HR team for all compliance needs. The person who will be successful in this role has a strong understanding of all Federal & local laws, (preferred if experienced in multi-state), and can assess and anticipate compliance-related needs and propose action plans to avoid legal issues.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Analyzes trends in compliance, and constantly updates the HR team around new updates, keeping the company up to date and providing business solutions, programs, and policies for all teams
• Help to field, manage and resolve complex employee relations; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations
• Provide day-to-day HR guidance to line management (i.e., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
• Works closely with management and employees to increase productivity and retention
• Provide guidance and input on performance management, promotions, succession planning, compensation, and benefits
• Develop contract terms for hires, promotions, and transfers; draft legal contracts (i.e., severance)


Requirements/Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as an HR specialist (4+ Years); Retail background is mandatory
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Curious problem solver and smart learner, analytical, able to understand and address (and learn from) every situation
• Reliable team player, accountable for delivering results and ready to help the team
• Must be able to effectively communicate with any stakeholder (from Sales Associate to VPs and CEO); strong writing skills is a huge plus
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and within constraints, under pressure
• BS/BA in HR, business, economics or relevant field
• Acute attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and react to business trends

Place of work: New York City. Travel is required within the US. Occasionally to Europe.
