Senior HR Business Partner Retail


Description

We are looking for an experienced SENIOR HR BUSINESS PARTNER RETAIL (Sr HRBP) to design and execute the HR strategy for our 80 boutiques and outlets. The Sr HRBP reports to the VP of HR, has two direct reports, works with the broader HR team in the US and France, and serves as a partner to the Retail team. The successful Sr. HRBP can assess, measure and anticipate HR-related needs and propose action plans to drive business growth. In this role, you will maintain an adequate level of business literacy about the Retail financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

·       Oversees the retail HR operations for the United States. To Include 80 retail locations and field wholesale teams.

·       Working knowledge of employment and leave laws within our 26 states of opereation including Califonia and Puerto Rico.  Partnership with Employment Attorneys as needed. 

·       Work with the HR global function located in France to ensure execution of broader strategies within the US market.

·       Develop and oversee national training plan with partnership from Senior Leadership team to include the CEO of North America.

·       Oversee performance management and talent succession plan.  Coach and mentor leadership team on talent and strategic people planning.  Build developmental programs within the retail field.

·       Drive HRIS end user experiences to deliver an employer of choice experience for new and current employees.

·       Maintain employee handbook, code of conduct and HR policies.  Recommend additions, deletions or modification to ensure Lacoste provides an outstanding employment practices. 

·       Develop tools to assist retail teams in people management.  To include recruiting, on-boarding, development and performance management.

·       Build employee engagement through feedback, engagement and pulse surveys.  Support leadership team in building action plans to drive an employee focused culture. 

·       Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop business solutions, programs, and policies. Builds a dashboard with relevant KPIs to drive the HR Retail agenda.

·       Manages and resolves complex employee relations. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

·       Provides day-to-day HR guidance to line management (i.e., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

·       Works closely with management and employees to increase productivity and retention

·       Provides guidance and input on compensation, and benefits.

·       Store visits with leadership team to better understand store and employee needs.

 

 

Requirements

 

·       Proven working experience as an HRBP (8+ Years). Experience in Retail is mandatory. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition and development, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, performance management, and federal and states employment laws.

·       Curious problem solver and smart learner, analytical, able to understand and address (and learn from) every situation.

·       Reliable team player, accountable for delivering results and ready to help the team.

·       Leadership to drive the team and gently challenge stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships.

·       Effective communication with any stakeholder (from Sales Associate to VPs and CEO).

·       Detail oriented and data-driven business partner, with a keen understanding of any aspect of the business.

·       Ability to work with tight deadlines and within constraints, under pressure.

·       BS/BA in business, economics or relevant field.

 

 

Place of work: New York City. Travel is required within the US. Occasionally to Europe.
