Description

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, passionate and driven Kitchen Service Supervisor to join us in Le Pain Quotidien. We’re a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means “the daily bread” in French, and like our name suggests, we’re bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That’s why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you’ll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

As a Kitchen Service Supervisor, you will support the Management Team in the running of the store - engaging and supporting the team whilst ensuring the service is running efficiently and profitably. You will be ensuring the standards are met, exceeded and delivered. You will be a Le Pain Quotidien Brand ambassador by demonstrating your product knowledge and genuine pride in what you do and outstanding guest care.

You’ll be a naturally positive and energetic person who enjoys engaging with people. You’ll have excellent communications skills, a passion for food, coffee, and guest care.

Key Responsibilities

  • To operate and be responsible for the supervision of BOH sections within the store.
  • Ensures the smooth running of the kitchen along with exceptional service and excellent food quality. 
  • To assist with keeping all controllable operational costs within the budgetary limits.
  • To plan, organize and supervise the workload of the team. 
  • To know, understand and be able to cover all sections within your area, setting high standards and be an example to the team.
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed to company standards.
  • Monitor and minimise stock wastage through the correct ordering and receiving stock procedures, stock rotation and product labelling.
  • Ensure correct stock levels of non-consumables are maintained through ordering controls.
  • Undertake regular stock-takes as required
