The restaurant will evoke a feeling of relaxed-luxury and incorporate custom art pieces and open-air patio set within the museum’s sculpture garden designed by famed Isamu Noguchi.
A Sommelier is responsible for always providing prompt and friendly food and beverage service to our guests by following the restaurant brand standard. This role will set the stage for the experience a guest will have and will be responsible for the guest experience by providing prompt, attentive table service and by being all - knowing regarding our menu, beverage, and wine offerings. The Sommelier is energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage.
Your Responsibilities:
• Act as the ultimate ambassador of the restaurant’s cuisine and culture to our
guests.
• Works together with the Beverage Manager and the Executive Chef to create food and wine pairings
• Work with all FOH team to expedite and provide excellent service to all guests; assist members and guests during the dinner services with wine recommendations and selection for perfect pairing with their meal, decanting of the wine and wine service.
• Sets the stage for the experience a guest will have and will be responsible
for the guest experience by providing prompt,
attentive table service and by being all - knowing regarding our menu,
beverage, and wine offerings.
• Is energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate about hospitality, food and beverage.
• The person will be a role model for the restaurant and accountable for the action taken.
• Works with a strong attention to detail and directs the activities of their
support staff to ensure a friendly and casual
dining experience.
Your Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of experience in restaurants, or
establishments of similar caliber.
• You must be organized, motivating, and demonstrate excellent communication
skills.
• Food Handlers Safety Certificate Preferred
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other
locations of the restaurant in a timely basis.
• Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30
pounds, as well as work in a standing
position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and
holidays)
