Michelin Star Chef Alain Verzeroli seeks inspired culinary and hospitality professionals to join his pre-opening team of Le Jardinier at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Chef Verzeroli spent 20 years at the helm of Chef Joel Robuchon’s Le Chateau in Tokyo, maintaining a 3 star rating from the Michelin Guide, with a prior history of iconic restaurants like Chef Alain Passard’s 3 star l’Arpege.

Le Jardinier Houston brings the vegetable-rich cuisine and classic French approach of sister restaurants, Le Jardinier Miami and Le Jardinier New York, awarded 1 star from the Michelin Guide 4 months after opening. 

The restaurant will evoke a feeling of relaxed-luxury and incorporate custom art pieces and open-air patio set within the museum’s sculpture garden designed by famed Isamu Noguchi. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Prep Cook to join our exceptional team of service leaders. This position works under the direction of the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine and will be exposed to a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversees assigned areas of culinary production 
• Execute recipes, maintain kitchen equipment, and always be on time
• Use working knowledge of basic cooking techniques; measuring, knife skills, sautéing, grilling, roasting, poaching, etc.
• Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and
serving standards of the restaurant.

Your Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year experience professional cooking experience in restaurant or establishment of similar caliber.
• High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all
units of measure)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
• You must be organized, motivating, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and of course personable. Working
knowledge of reservation management systems is highly preferred.
