Accounts Payable Assistant


Description

·       Checking and processing supplier invoices onto the accounting system (Microsoft Nav)

·       Coding of invoices to ensure that they are booked correctly, and any discrepancies are reported

·       Ensure all queries regarding invoicing are investigated and resolved to avoid late payment

·       Managing supplier accounts, including monthly statement reconciliations

·       Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders

·       Assisting in monthly reconciliations and month end close of Accounts Payable Ledger 

·       Generating payments and supporting payment runs as required

·       Ensure good customer service is delivered at all times

·       Helping to cleanse supplier database by confirming or updating accuracy of details contained

·       Administration tasks as required by your manager

 

 

Skills, experience, and qualifications:    

 

·       The ability to manage complex, diverse and time-pressured workload

·       Highly organised, collaborative team player with the ability to multitask and work on own initiative

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Swift work ethic with high accuracy

·       Computer literate with IT skills to include Outlook and Excel

·       Experience with any accounts payable systems is desirable but not essential.
