DESCRIPTION

Job Title:                                             Marketing Manager – Liberation Pubs & Brewery

Main Purpose of Role: You will be responsible for the marketing for all our Pubs & Bars and Liberation Brewery on the Channel Islands. Your main areas of responsibility will include the planning, managing and implementation of marketing activity to support and drive revenue in the Liberation Pubs and Bars, alongside the Brewery.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing everything from social media ads to point of sale for the pubs. You will also be responsible for the ongoing management of our loyalty club and newsletters. You will need to be experienced in all forms marketing communications including social media, online, print advertising, point of sale and CRM. Ideally, you will have experience of making basic updates and changes to websites. You will also be responsible for a substantial marketing budget so you need to be use to planning and managing your own budgets.

Type of person: We are looking for someone who is really organised and has a high capacity for workload because this is a high-pressure role where you will need to keep lots of plates spinning. As a result, you will also need a good eye for detail. It is essential you have a positive can-do attitude, and you aren’t phased with new challenges. You will need to have great communication skills as you will have multiple stakeholders to manage. Creativity and innovation are a must as you will need to produce some of the marketing activity ‘in-house’. A good sense of humour is paramount and someone who enjoys pubs and food is essential.


Reports to: Marketing Director         


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating high quality content and creative for our managed pubs and brewery.
  • Briefing, producing and managing various marketing material, including menu’s, POS, social media and local ads.
  • Provide the marketing support for seasonal and adhoc events working with other our suppliers throughout the year.
  • Working with our managed pubs to deliver regular and high-quality social media posts
  • Managing and posting on our central social media pages (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter)
  • Regularly updating and adding content onto our website, including managing the individual pubs pages.
  • Provide support for any pub refurbishments by producing all marketing material, POS, merchandise, branding and advertising plan to drive awareness, footfall and bookings on the launch and ongoing activity.
  • Working with our Customer Service manager drive sign-ups and engagement of our loyalty scheme members. Also, set-up triggered and automated emails to drive more loyalty and spend.
  • Engage with the pub managers and their team to drive and manage online reviews and other ways to promote the individual pubs.
  • Using effective advertising campaigns to drive an increase in bookings for rooms and table bookings for our food offering.
  • Management of agencies and internal stakeholders. 
  • Regularly track results, share with our manged pubs and implement necessary changes to increase performance of our communications.
  • Commercially aware and experienced at managing budgets.

 Key requirements:

  • Must have a real creative eye and ability to design and produce impactful creative marketing material, copy and campaigns. Ideally first-hand experience of using Photoshop.
  • Experience with managing website and social media. We will need you to have the ability of making simple changes yourself and launching new campaigns.
  • Experience of email communications. Creating, deploying, and analysing email campaigns.  
  • Ability to work efficiently using your initiative to tight deadlines and juggling a heavy workload.
  • Experienced at co-ordination, encouraging, and implementing change across multiple stakeholders.
  • Somebody who has real passion for our industry, happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. A positive energy and desire to make an impact. 

Desirable Skills

·         A good understanding of the hospitality and food & beverage industry.

·         Some experience in hands on management of websites and social media – Wordpress, Facebook and Instagram.
