The Role

The Porter/Dishwasher’s an entry level position and will work to help the restaurant execute smooth service through dish and equipment upkeep. The duties of this position may change from time to time and includes basic food preparations and stocking needs. Our porter works neatly and cleanly, and has the ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.

The Requirements

As a Porter/Dishwasher, we would love you to have:
No experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred
Comfortable working in a fast paced and high energy environment
Dependability-job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
Takes guidance and coaching well in all situations
Adaptable to the stresses of a kitchen environment
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays- REQUIRED
Ability to stand for extended periods, and lift 40+ lbs


The Restaurant

Loch Bar opened in the Lone Star State in Summer 2019. Located in the ultra-trendy River Oaks District, Loch Bar is a classic seafood tavern and whiskey bar that offers live music 7 days a week. Centered around one of Houston’s most impressive raw bars with over a dozen varieties of east coast and gulf oysters, the food menu also features many of the regions favorite seafood dishes. Loch Bar’s beverage program is headlined by one of the area’s most substantial whiskey lists with selections from around the world. Local craft beer and handcrafted cocktails are served by our dedicated bar staff.
