Job Title: Bar Tender

Location: THE CUBE, Canary Wharf

Reporting to: Bar Manager, Bar Supervisor

Role Description: Working in the bar team you are responsible for the delivery of a high class bar operation. You will work at 1 of our 6 bars in the venue, serving anything from welcome drinks and cocktails for party bookings, to draught beers and soft drinks to those taking a break in their CUBE journey.

Casual Contract. Must be available to work on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays most weeks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing top quality bar service to compliment the customer experience.
  • Serving drinks and cocktails with enthusiasm, engaging with customers.
  • Monitor and rotate stock to reduce wastage.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable service area at all times; clearing tables of empty glasses, wiping down menus and bar surfaces.
  • Assist in setting up; stocking up bottles and garnishes.
  • Helping to close the bar, deep cleaning the area and putting away all tools.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all training is completed in a timely manner.
  • Proactively contribute to and suggest ways of improving company processes and procedures.

Skills

Technical

  • 2 years of Bartender experience.
  • High volume bar operation experience.
  • Experience working in venues with multiple bars.
  • Experience working in large teams as well as independently.
  • Cocktail making and premium drink mixing.

Personal

  • Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends.
  • Positive, ‘Can do’ attitude, picking up any additional responsibilities.
  • Engaging and pleasant persona to extend the customer experience.
  • A keen eye for detail, never compromising on standards.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt.
  • Excellent verbal and written English is required for this role.
