GENERAL PURPOSE

The runner is observant and efficient when it comes to working with other staff members to ensure that our customers receive prompt, seamless service. The runner will assist in delivering our fantastic food and beverages, keeping the venue pristine and taking on other duties to support the waiting staff and ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly. You should be knowledgeable about menu items, attentive, and focused on providing the best possible service in a fast-paced environment.

To be a successful runner, you should be passionate about working as part of a team to deliver excellent service to the customers. You should be efficient, reliable, and perceptive with excellent communication and time management skills.

Role Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Runner, Front of House member or similar role
• An independent approach to work
• Excellent organisational skills
• Guests service attitude
• Must be ready to work with urgency, under pressure and keeping the pace
• Must have solid written and verbal communication skills
• Must have a passion for excellent service
• Nice to have level 1 wine course
• Nice to have bottle/wine opening skills

Key duties and responsibilities

• Be the face of F1 Arcade – Welcome the Guests with a strong sense of positivity
• Providing the initial, first class service
• Help each other / think about your team – where a colleague may be busy, keep the guest feeling acknowledged
• Welcome and thank all guests entering and leaving the venue
• To ensure kitchen pass, bar pass, and fridges all fully stocked
• To serve food and drink, consistently achieving the established agreed standards of service 
• To ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following all cleaning practices
• Be aware of your responsibilities regarding Health and Safety at Work and follow all measures accordingly
• To have a good knowledge and understanding of all food and drink menus and an in-depth knowledge of those for your department to ensure the best service for the guest
