Host

Description
As a host, you are the first contact guests have with the restaurant and usually the
last. You can truly set the tone for the guests dining experience. You’ll be
responsible for many things, such as, cheerfully greeting guests, communicating and
taking care of special guest requests, confirming reservations, answering phones,
maximizing tables yet pacing the seating so the kitchen does not get slammed and
making sure servers are also not slammed and are seated fairly.
Other
responsibilities include but not limited to; assisting clearing and bussing tables,
maintaining host station and guest bathrooms and communicating with the kitchen
and management. You’ll need to do all of this, and more, with grace, composure and
confidence.

Hosts will attempt in every way to further the interests of the restaurant. This
includes those items listed specifically above, but also the myriad of small details
that arise in a daily work environment. The Host understands and accepts that this
vigilance should be not only physical and mental, but in attitude as well. Wherever
specific goals or tasks are involved, the Host must make every effort to attain or
complete them, and to report to his/her superior with the results and any
comments or suggestions that might improve this process in the future.

Experience with OpenTable Guest Center a big plus.

(We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.)
