Description
James Beard awarded Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne of the Lucques Group is seeking a Marketing Director for Drop-Off catering sales and Event Manager for Lucques Catering. Lucques Catering provides the same experience and quality found in our restaurants (Lucques, AOC, Tavern) to unique events for our corporate, fashion and private clients held off-site at business, venues and private homes. Lucques Catering operates a Larder Café that services customers at a retail location and through catering delivery/drop-offs. The primary role of the Marketing Director / Manager is to develop and facilitate sales for the Larder Café catering business.

Job Description:
Develops and implements successful strategies to grow the catering sales of the café by identifying and generating new sales opportunities with corporate and retail customers.
Monitor business trends and implement successful sales practices within the industry (app based ordering, customer loyalty incentives, meal delivery options, etc)
Market and promote the business through networking, social media, industry events, etc.
Work with Chef and Catering Director to tailor menu packages customers.
Draft Sales agreements and invoices and manage collection of accounts receivable.
Manage off-site, full service catering events with Lucques Catering
Oversee general day-to-day operations of the café: ordering, invoicing, staff, reporting, etc
Performs other administrative tasks and duties to facilitate catering sales.
This position will be approximately 7 hr workdays M-F (9am-5pm, with 1 hr lunch), and approximately 10 additional hours on nights and/or weekends when we are busy with events.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Motivated and results driven self-starter
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to multitask
- Great communication skills, oral and written
- Marketing and sales Social media savvy
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Schedule flexibility and ability to work some nights and weekends, as needed
- Experience in the catering, restaurant or hospitality industry desirable
- Bachelors degree, or 2+ years in a professional/sales office position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and experience Google Suite Applications: gmail, gcalendar, etc
