Head Bartender

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Head Bartender to join the team at Mark’s Club, part of the Birley Group.

Mark’s Club is a private members’ dining club, based in a serene Mayfair townhouse providing a solace to all its members from the hectic pace of the city outside. The Club serves the finest, award-winning cuisine alongside an outstanding selection of cocktails, wines and cigars.

As a Head Bartender within Mark’s Club you will have flair, charisma and charm with the ability to provide the highest levels of service to our members. You will be passionate about creating fantastic cocktails with the ability to advise and recommend our members. As Head Bartender you will assist in the effective management of the bar ensuring the team are always delivering the highest quality of drinks and providing engaging service.

The ideal Head Bartender will:
• Have previously worked at Supervisory or Head Bartender level within a high quality bar or Private Members Club delivering innovative cocktails
• Be an excellent team player with good communication skills
• Develop a good relationship with the members and knowledge of their tastes and preferences.
• Be proactive and eager to quickly exceed expectations of our members
• Have an extensive knowledge of quality spirits, wines and cigars
• Have a passion to develop their knowledge and skills
• Assist the Bar Manager in menu development, training, stock and margin management and rota management
• Have a good understanding of effective liquor, stock and margin control within a bar environment ensuring, alongside the Bar Manager, GP budgets and targets are met.
