Senior Designer:

We are looking for a visionary Senior Designer who is an expert in brand storytelling across mediums and building fluid design systems. You will play an integral role in the execution of innovative marketing communications and campaigns to increase brand love, loyalty, awareness, and engagement.

 The ideal candidate is a conceptually-driven, strategic thinker who can deliver top-tier creative solutions, and is tuned into culture and skilled in creating content that connects with our growing audiences. You understand the necessary marriage of brand creative and design that optimizes for conversion, yet seek solutions that break the existing molds. 

 The Senior Designer should feel very comfortable leading projects throughout the entire project lifecycle. You will actively participate in and lead ideation sessions to generate innovative ideas, from storyboard to final production, for key creative across the brand ecosystem. You will help us design for our digital menu boards, culinary and product launches, and other marketing based efforts. 

 The Senior Designer will function as a core leader on the creative team, while partnering closely with the Design Director, Creative Director, and cross-functional stakeholders to produce the best-quality creative that continues to elevate and evolve the CAVA brand and seeks to inspire our customers through thoughtful, consistent and aspirational design.

 

 What You’ll Do:

  • Help lead definition and evolution of design system, understanding the value of design patterns and helping to build and maintain a cohesive visual language
  • Drive concept and execution of both print and digital creative around new product launches, brand initiatives + partner collaborations, web, social media channels, in-store displays, and experiential for the brand to support product, marketing and business objectives
  • Execute a brilliant design language that elevates the customer experience.
  • Own strategy and creative application across multiple projects at once
  • Identify brand development opportunities and implement strategic insights
  • Work collaboratively with creative team as a whole and cross functional stakeholders to execute on innovative, integrated solutions—lead ideation and working sessions
  • Work from concept to completion on all visual touchpoints of new product launch campaigns
  • Keep a close eye on full project process and ensure quality and consistency of deliverables
  • Maintain deadlines, deliveries and communication to internal and external partners

 

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 5+ years work experience in graphic design; branding and/or motion design expertise a big plus 
  • Extensive knowledge of programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, After Effects. C4D and/or other 3D programs or Video Editing a plus!
  • Strong experience conceptualizing various packaging touch points within a brand, including experience working with mechanicals and certifications.
  • Genuine interest in lifestyle brands, and how they communicate with their consumers 
  • Extensive experience leading projects from concept to launch
  • Equally loves to be a team player, while also being able to lead a working team in carrying out a vision
  • Meticulous eye for detail and trained in typography + layout
  • Ability to drive ideation and execution based on data and business objectives
  • Comfortable working across many different platforms while building consistency (i.e. packaging, motion, digital, web, branding, art direction and experiential)
  • Collaborative yet generative working style
  • Top-tier visual storytelling skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints—proven aptitude for quick, creative, and adaptive thinking

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
  • For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
  • Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
