Social Strategist

Description
Do you get excited about the intersection of food, social engagement, and thoughtful storytelling? Do you have a passion for engaging consumers and growing a lifestyle brand in a creative, innovative, and strategic way? Do you want to be part of an entrepreneurial minded business? If this is you, we want you to join our team!

CAVA is a fast-growing culinary brand with a portfolio of fast-casual restaurants and a packaged goods line dedicated to fresh, Mediterranean-inspired, better-for-you cuisine. Born from a full-service restaurant collaboration between three first-generation Greek-American childhood friends in the Washington, DC, area, our chef-driven fast-casual format currently has more than 50 restaurants, with further expansion ahead.

We are looking for a creative and self-motivated Social Strategist to curate content that speaks to CAVA’s brand identity across a variety of digital channels. This person will leverage their skills across our brand and marketing team, leading social platform strategy, optimization, and calendar development, as well as production, conception, implementation, and project management. Our ideal Social Strategist is able to quickly adopt our brand strategy, develop and implement a supporting engagement-driving social strategy optimized by platform, and clearly write in the brand voice. The Social Strategist will oversee our Community Manager to optimize cross-platform engagement and drive brand affinity, and will partner with the creative team to generate dynamic social content across platforms.

You will:
• Build and execute social media strategy for all CAVA-owned social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) to drive platform growth, escalate engagement, and establish clear brand voice & positioning
• Create original content for all social platforms (i.e. Instagram posts, Instagram Stories, tweets, Facebook posts, LinkedIn articles) that is highly shareable and encourages two-way conversation
• Collaborate with creative + content team, local freelancers, and influencers to create social assets for CAVA platforms
• Write and curate dynamic content that ensures the brand voice comes through across all social platforms and posts
• Directly manage a Community Manager dedicated to listening to and engaging with our customers across all platforms
• Develop an impactful influencer activation program that empowers the Community Manager to activate and build relationships across platforms and drive connection with our regional teams
• Be an expert in the social space, monitoring for conversations, activities, and trends across all platforms and with competitors/like-minded brands
• Report weekly social health metrics/content wrap-up to entire marketing team; create and analyze benchmark metrics to measure the results of social media campaigns and strategies

You have:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism, or equivalent training and/or experience
• 3+ years in related work experience
• Exceptional writing capabilities
• Project management experience
• Extensive knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn Youtube), and other emerging platforms
• Understanding of and experience using social listening and scheduling tools, third party web metrics services, and specific platform analytic tools
• Proven experience with developing platform strategies and reporting on success metrics
• The ability to collaborate seamlessly with creative teams to produce content in a studio environment and in the field
• Proven experience with cultivating relationships and leveraging influencer partnerships
• Basic capabilities with Creative Cloud preferred (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
• Photography and video concepting or production experience a plus

We offer:
• Competitive base salary and annual bonus potential
• Benefits options including: health, dental, vision, telemedicine, short and long term disability insurance, life insurance, pet insurance and 401K with CAVA match
• Unlimited paid time off (PTO)
• Free CAVA food
• Four Community days per year to help the world with acts of services/volunteering
• The opportunity to be on the ground floor of helping craft the vision of a rapidly growing brand
