Description
Wanted: one talented, bright, driven lead designer who’s willing to do whatever it takes to make an outstanding product. At CAVA, we love it when people come to the table with new ideas, and we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about what they do and ready to hit the ground running.

Type nerds, illustrators, food lovers, and overall life-enthusiasts will feel right at home here, and no one will judge you for instagramming your food. This position reports to the Art Director, and will work closely with fellow members of the creative team to drive and build unique, compelling products and campaigns for the CAVA brand.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Designer to help manage, execute, and evolve CAVA’s creative vision. The position requires a passion for our mission and the drive to create differentiated concepts to elevate the CAVA brand.

Core Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership & Vision
• Works closely with Creative & Marketing leadership to build exceptional products and campaigns that both advance brand messaging and drive sales. Collaborates with multiple departments to refine, implement, and evolve CAVA’s brand identity across both internal and external channels.
• Mentors and educates fellow team members on the CAVA brand identity. Develops & maintains CAVA’s brand standards with integrity, and creates products that improve the experience at CAVA for employees, guests, and future brand fanatics.
• Leads as a visual storyteller: this person is not afraid to take risks, likes to experiment, and inspires others through thoughtful and innovative design.

Project Management
• Leads, develops, and executes project timelines from concepting and design to final product delivery -- including but not limited to: seasonal menu launches, new restaurant openings, brand campaigns, digital and out-of-home advertising, overall brand messaging, and partnerships.
• Thinks creatively and delivers clever concepts across multiple platforms. Pitches, delegates, and communicates timelines and design decisions with poise and direction.

Creative Development & Execution
• Can approach projects with both a big picture mindset and a meticulous attention to detail. Approaches all requests and projects with a problem-solving mindset
• Creates consistent visual content that pushes the CAVA brand, driving awareness & audience engagement

Skills & Qualifications:
• 3-5 years experience as a designer or similar role
• Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year University (BFA/BA in Graphic, Digital Media Design preferred)
• Strong work ethic and a passion for producing best-in-class work, no matter the task
• Established portfolio that showcases a an expertise in digital, mobile, and print design
• Exceptional understanding of design principles, including layout, photo editing, illustration, and typography
• Experience leading design projects from start to finish with the ability to jump in at any point in the process
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Strength in design and photography skills with a passionate interest in discovering new
 technology and practices
• Desire to create thoughtful products that improve the community around them
