Description
Mels Drive in is looking for a General Manager for our new Santa Monica Location!
Its on the corner of Lincoln and a Olympic and is a huge deal to the city and to the company itself.
We are taking over the old penguins diner, and also the opening is falling in line with our 70th year anniversary!
After years of successfully promoting people internally, we need a person from the outside to help manage our team.
The General Manager must have a minimum of 5 years management experience and be able to exemplify how he/she has been successful. A proven track record of performance is a must.
Mels having a long history and being staple in LA we need to find someone who is willing to handle a 24/7 restaurant and is able to work daytime, night time, and on graveyard shifts! They must know the history of Mels and must be personable. They need to be able to touch tables, get to know all the regulars, and be able to be at the restaurant whenever needed.
The individual must have great genuine hospitality on a daily basis, on and off the clock. He/She must have a positive attitude and an eagerness to grow. Lastly, the individual must be someone who thrives on helping others grow and succeed.
If you have yet to run a high volume restaurant, this job is not for you.
This is a very hands on position and you will need to be able to drive sales and keep up with trends in the area. We will have 8 tap beer tap and will have to be familiar with the beer we are serving as well.
