Description
Position: Cocktail Server
Reports To: Lounge Manager
Purpose of the Position:
To serve food and beverages to customers while providing courteous, efficient service and ensuring
customer satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Check station assigned to you prior to opening for cleanliness.
2. Perform assigned housekeeping and sidework duties.
3. Greet and welcome customers at their tables; suggest drink specials and particular menu items.
Take all beverage and food orders.
4. Relay all orders to bartender and/or kitchen staff.
5. Provide prompt, efficient and correct delivery of order to customer.
6. Check back with customers periodically to ensure satisfaction and ask for any re-orders.
7. Be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years
thereafter. Follow guidelines established in regards to age identification for suspected minors and
when and how to “cut off” someone when they are nearing or are already intoxicated.
8. Follow proper cashiering procedures, ensuring accurate totals and correct change while providing
courteous and professional service for guest.
9. Clean tables, removing empty glasses and dishes.
