Sous Chef at minibar by JOSÉ ANDRÉS
minibar by José Andrés, a two Michelin star restaurant in Washington, DC, is a study in avant-garde cooking and one of the nation’s most exciting dining experiences. An imaginative menu offered in an intimate setting, the creations combine art and science as well as tradition and technique. As the center of culinary research and development for ThinkFoodGroup, minibar is also the creative testing ground for all of José’s concepts and projects.
We are seeking a Sous Chef to help lead the minibar team as we develop, design, and create one of the most unique dining experiences in the country.
The Sous Chef will:
• Embrace complexity by combining in depth knowledge of culinary techniques with precise and detail oriented service
• The ability to challenge, lead, and cooperate with a close-knit team of culinary professionals striving to create a wold-class experience worthy of a special journey
• Mentor porters and line cooks across a diverse portfolio of culinary efforts: ordering/receving, research and development, production, and service
• A passion for continuous learning and discovery by embracing an active and innovative approach to expanding your knowledge of food and beverage
•The drive to continually exceed and redefine our guests expectations
•Ideally have previous experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant
