Responsibilities:

Acting as a point of contact for the HR department and performing customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
Making photocopies, filing documents, and performing other clerical functions
Processing, verifying, and maintaining documentation relation to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications
Assisting with the orientation scheduling for new employees; verifying I9 documents and new hire paperwork for accuracy and completion
Assisting with benefits administration, to include: invoice reconciliation, enrollment for gyms, eligibility determinations, benefits termination, and COBRA enrollment
Maintaining FMLA tracking and ensuring proper communication and documentation;
Maintaining ADP homepage, ADP resources page, and HR page on company intranet;
Taking pictures and sending out Welcome Letters for New Central Store Support employees;
Responding to written and verbal verifications of employment
Maintaining worker’s compensation claims and customer injuries, and documentation requests received;
Assisting the HR team with various research projects and/or special projects
Providing recruiting assistance as needed
Maintaining confidence and protects operations by keeping HR information confidential
Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have:
Exceptional communication/interpersonal in person, over the phone, and by email
Ability to contribute to process improvements and see the bigger picture
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of basic office etiquette
Confidence and tact in approaching upper management with ideas and issues
Understanding of general state and federal compliance guidelines (FMLA, ADA, ACA, etc)
Knowledge and support of company philosophy / mission / values

Must be:
Friendly, warm, and humble
Stable and graceful under pressure
Willing to go above and beyond
Dependable and self-motivated
Able to acquire understanding and absorb information rapidly
Able to speak up when there is a problem and not sweep it under the rug

Additional Info:

This position is onsite at MOM’s Central Store Support in Rockville, MD and reports to the Director of HR
Previous experience in an administrative or HR related role is a plus
