MOM's is a family-owned chain of organic grocery stores in the DC Metro Area, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Our purpose is to protect and restore the environment.
The Strategic Facilities Manager ensures continuous efficiency and operations of all MOM’s locations. We are looking for an innovative thinker who wants to hone their strategic vision to propel and bolster company growth. Specific responsibilities will include:
Overseeing and evaluating the effectiveness and cost of systems and processes
Developing policies and procedures
Vetting and hiring contractors and vendor partners
Ensuring repairs and contracted services are coordinated and completed efficiently
Implementing continuous improvement strategies within building infrastructure, systems, and energy conservation
Initiating long-term facilities strategies to accommodate company growth and future needs
Making complex maintenance decisions that impact customers, employees, stores, and facilities
Effectively communicating decisions and timelines to staff and vendors
Reacting quickly to issues involving store operations, requiring flexibility, travel, and patience
Leading and overseeing Facility Technicians and Workshop
Must have:
Proven analytical skills
High-level problem-solving capabilities
Exceptional communication
Enthusiasm and initiative in finding new approaches to problems or innovations to established best practices
Familiarity with refrigeration and energy management systems
Familiarity with Service Automation Software – ServiceChannel Preferred
Some familiarity and understanding of general building systems, maintenance, and repair
Basic understanding of bill processing, auditing and basic accounting (to include budget building)
High standards of performance for self and others
Must be:
Confident in initiating and implementing policies and procedures
Able to effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects at one time
Comfortable making hard and fast decisions
Organized
Someone who demonstrates problem resolution skills
An effective communicator across varying audiences
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder leading to the roof
Additional Info:
This position is based out of our Central Store Support office in Rockville, MD and reports to the Director of Construction and Facilities
20% travel required around the greater Baltimore, Philadelphia, and D.C. areas
