When we studied Chinese in Beijing in 1998, we ate bings everyday outside our school. There was a nice lady who made them fresh on the back of a bicycle cart. We loved bings so much, that we just had to bring it back to America.

Mr Bing's mission is to introduce America to traditional Northern Chinese street crepes ('jianbing', 煎饼). For those already familiar with 'jianbing,' we aim to instill a vibrant sense of nostalgia for the China street culture they remember.

Mr Bing is looking for an experienced Director of Operations (Long Term Partner) to organize and oversee the daily operations and help us expand our company. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes and the drive to create your own. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business.

Our DOO thrives in a startup environment. He/She has already experienced the growth from a small-medium business to a larger brand. He/She is prepared to partner with the fast-paced, energetic, passionate, & driven founder of Mr Bing (the right chemistry is key). With recent private equity funding we are expanding rapidly from 3-4 locations to 6-10+ in NYC over the next few months.

You+ Your Experience:
-Experience in/ thrive in a startup environment
-Experience with kiosk, pop-up, brick & mortar, and catering QSR fast casual concepts
-Experience growing/ scaling a company from small/mid to large national concept
-Experience working with an Executive chef to expand and develop menus
-Experience building amazing hospitality teams
-NYC based: well established rolodex, & high level understanding / familiarity with NYC restaurant scene.

Your Responsibilities:
-Day to day excitement of building out a startup and all processes
-Oversee our 4 current units (soon to expand to 10+ in NYC). Oversee external cities in close proximity.
-Develop/execute processes for: budgeting, food ordering, monitoring labor, menu development.
-Implementing new processes
-Finding, hiring, & training new (amazing) hires
-Communicating with investors on all line items
-Scale Mr Bing backed by a leading hospitality/restaurant private equity firm
