Elegantly presented seafood is the focus of the dishes with extraordinary cocktails stripped down to their simple essence. Our polished service team pays attention to individual guests to make their experience outstanding while inside a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of NYC.

Nerai is seeking a Floor/Administrative Manager to join our team. Managers collaborate with the General Manager, Executive Chef and the entire front and back of house management team. This is an opportunity to work in your passion for all facets of the food & beverage world. Managers lead all facets of the Front of House operations of the restaurant. Managers help to build a better brand with the best management and staff by constantly improving our food and service with a focus on our partners and guests while providing unparalleled hospitality.

This position requires flexibility and a wide range of hospitality, service and business acumen. Managers embody, inspire and teach skills that will elevate the core values of Nerai, hospitality and our own brand of Filoxenia (making friends from strangers)
Position requirements include:
• 2-3 Years of FOH Full Service/Upscale Casual /Fine Dining experience
• Minimum 5 years of prior managerial experience
• Ability to identify opportunities throughout the operation, leading with solutions and proposals
• Superior organizational acumen, prioritizing time and tasks with optimum efficiency
• Full cycle project management: ability to plan, organize, direct and delegate, and follow through, holding team(s) accountable
• Superior communication skills (verbal/oral/listening)
• Proficiency with Touch Bistro POS and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office)
• NYC DOHMH Food Protection Certificate holder
• Excellent Dining Room and Facilities Operations Knowledge
• Understanding of HR Practices/Policies/Procedures Excellent Communication Skills (verbal/oral/listening)
• Minimum of 2 years of professional restaurant management experience
• Advanced wine and beverage knowledge
• Service training and development experience
• An understanding of Department of Health Food Safety Standards
• Budgeting
• Staff education
• Willingness to learn and participate in food knowledge training.
• Must be available for lunches and dinners and to work on weekends.
• Able to take direction and complete tasks
• Effective time, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Willingness to learn and improve oneself in wine, food, and service knowledge
• Pleasant and positive work ethic and demeanor
• Clear writing and oral communication skills
• Ability to work within a very fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Ability to engage guests or team members in a professional and dignified manner.
• Impeccable personal grooming habits
• Be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
