Description
New Street Wine is a hidden gem, a true celebration of the international wine scene located in the City where visitors are invited to shop and enjoy and explore over 500 quality, rare and fine wines. Hidden down a cobbled street, just off Bishopsgate, New Street Wine is housed in a magnificent converted warehouse and caters to a dynamic demographic by offering more than 500 wines designed to suit all palates and budgets; from the indigenous grape’s varieties of Eastern Europe to some impressive Premier Cru and Grand Cru from Burgundy, the selection is vast and excellent.D&D London is a group of diverse restaurants, bars and hotels based principally in London, but also with venues in Paris and New York. It was founded by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi (the eponymous D and D) in 2006, following a buyout of Conran Restaurants. Since then the company has become a vital player in London’s famous restaurant scene, owning some of the capital’s most celebrated restaurants, including Quaglino’s, Le Pont de la Tour, Bluebird and Coq d’Argent.

Weekends Off!

We are looking for an ambitious and charismatic Wine Shop Manager to take charge of our exciting Wine Shop. You must be passionate about wine, food, service, and people.

As Wine Shop Manager you will be the driving force behind the offering; supporting the shop and adjoining sites in planning, leading the team, developing the business and continuously delivering high service standards. We welcome creative ideas and require an energetic approach.

Main responsibilities:

• Exceptional service standards and attention to detail
• Develop a motivated and high performing team committed to delivering clear goals
• Manage the Wine Shop and support in the wine programs of the adjoining sites
• Identify areas for growth and commercial opportunities
• Management of the Wine Shop budgets, pay role and all financial aspects of the wine shop
• Previous experience of working as an Wine Shop Manager or Senior Sommelier in a similar environment
• Actively seek guest feedback, responding accurately and adapting as necessary
• Overall you will have bags of personality, enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
