Description
Celtic Developers Group consists of three bustling locations in Union Square, Times Square, and Midtown East, and now Chelsea, which focus on harboring good “craic” in a stunning environment. All of our high volume locations have fun bars where our guests feel like family. With the addition of this fourth location in Chelsea we hope to provide an extravagant environment where every night is made better with just a touch of sophisticated debauchery!

Celtic Developers Group is looking for a Sous Chef to serve as the right hand of the Executive Chef. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:
Lead in the preparation and execution of our menu items, ensuring only the highest quality
Ensuring that the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively while maintaining health and safety standards
Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and manage employee relations with sensitivity
Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
Perform inventory with executive chef and order supplies in the Chef's absence
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements include:
3-5 years of experience in Kitchens
1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef
Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
