Osteria Morini brings the soulful cuisine and convivial spirit of Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy to the historic Navy Yards in Washington, D.C. This open kitchen restaurant features the cuisine of acclaimed chef, Michael White, and selectively looks for individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and who thrive in an environment that demands excellence in every dimension. Under the leadership of General Manager, Luis Arias , Osteria Morini strives to provide superb cuisine and seamless service through teamwork and execution.
We are looking for Sous Chefs to join the team. The candidate should be a skilled, career-minded individual in search of a rewarding and unique kitchen management position. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about cooking and possess a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities include:
-Executing and managing the following stations: pasta, saute, garde manger, and a wood burning grill
-Managing and training line cooks
-Ordering and tracking inventory
-Maintaining health department, food quality, and restaurant standards at all times
Requirements include:
-Excellent cooking skills
-3 years of relevant restaurant experience
-Able to handle a fast-paced environment and manage pressure well
-Responsible, respectful and team player
-Great work ethic and committed to being the best
