Buzzing Black Horse

The Black Horse is the perfect example of a friendly, traditional, English pub at the very heart of its local community. Serving great food, including regularly changing specials, as well our award-winning Badger beers, our hospitality is second to none. Used by stars working at the nearby Pinewood Film Studios since the 1930s, including actors from the Carry On and James Bond films, The Black Horse’s name refers to the overnight ride from London to York made by Dick Turpin, on his horse Black Bess in 1737. Popular with locals too and with a large summer garden, combined with roaring log fires, oak beams and traditional interiors for the darker and colder winters, make it a vibrant pub for all seasons and occasions.
