Role: Floor Supervisor (SACHI Japenese Restaurant)
Type: Permanent | Full-time
Salary: £25,500 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Floor Supervisor to join our new and exciting SACHI Japanese restaurant. The Floor Supervisor will be responsible for assisting senior managers. We are not only searching for a Floor Supervisor but also a role model so that the team will be able to look to for inspiration and support. The Floor Supervisor will be passionate about food, have great organisational skills and be able to work under a fast pace environment.
Responsibilities
• Work alongside the senior managers in order to manage the daily operation of the restaurant.
• Ensure the team is keeping the restaurant to the highest possible standards, being effectively organized and properly managed at all times.
• Oversee the performance management of the restaurant team to achieve the desired results in supporting the business.
• Train new and current staff in order to ensure the restaurant
• Ensure all shifts are organized and supervised to the highest standard possible.
• Conduct team briefings with the team before the start of each shift.
• Ensure the monitoring and maintenance of high-quality food and exceptional standards of customer service.
• Ensuring that all customer service initiatives are in place, ensuring that high standards for quality and customer service are • always met.
• Monitoring customer comments and constantly looking for improvements that may be made. Any feedback should be reported to the General Manager.
• Train, challenge, motivate, encourage, and provide constructive guidance to the team.
Essential Skills & Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry, preferably Nordic cuisine.
• A strong understanding of Nordic cuisine and culture.
• A strong understanding of Food, Health & Safety including COSHH and HACCP
• Strong leadership and motivational skills
• Wide experience in setting customer care standards and resolving customer issues
• You must have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and effectively coach and the development of your team
• Experience of managing and leading your team
• Works well in a pressurised and busy environment
• Outstanding problem solving and organisational skill
• Hardworking, self-motivated and dedicated about the position
• A good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and labour control
• Good working knowledge of general computer/hospitality systems
• Attention to detail
• Being able to tell the story of the menu to team members and customers
