The Maintenance Engineering Leader role:

The Papa John’s facility produces all our famous pizza dough for every single store in the UK. It’s a big task, and it is literally and metaphorically the base our business is built on. If the facility isn’t operating superbly, we do not have a business.

Your crucial role is day to day leadership of our maintenance team to ensure the facility is operating perfectly and our business can continue to expand in the same double-digit growth it currently is. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will ensure all production facility equipment is at 100% availability and we always comply with the law on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality.

 As well as leading your team you will deal with suppliers/ contractors, develop the preventative maintenance duties, respond urgently to breakdowns and solve problems, conduct repairs, assist with new equipment installation and capital projects.

Skills we are looking for in our Maintenance Engineering Leader:

·         Skilled in both electrical & mechanical engineering

·         Experience of PLC based controls systems

·         Ability to interpret technical drawings, machine manuals & electrical schematics

·         Demonstrated skills/certification in general maintenance, electrical, PLC logic, pneumatics, and welding

·         Excellent verbal and written communication & comfortable at all levels

Experience & Qualities we are looking for in our Maintenance Engineering Leader:

·         You bring energy, positivity & clarity of purpose to teams you lead

·         Experience of engaging, leading and coaching a small team

·         A sense of urgency in all you do

·         Initiative and drive to problem solve when under pressure

·         Willingness to provide holiday cover in a 24/7 environment

·         Call out cover on a rota

·         Experience in a production and warehousing facility

·         Experience in food industry preferable

·         Experience/Knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations
