Restaurant & Bar Floor Manager

Celtic Developers Group is looking for a Closing Bar Manager to join Papillon Bistro & Bar. Celtic Developers Group consists of four bustling locations in Midtown East, Union Square, Times Square, and NoMad which focus on harboring good “craic” in a stunning environment. All of our high volume locations have fun bars where our guests feel like family.

The Closing Bar Manager’s Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Lead an already established team of 40 FOH employees

· Build relationships with our current customers and create bonds with new guests

· Ensure service is up to standards at all times

· Maintain an A letter grade from the DOH by ensuring all food handling, sanitation, and food safety requirements are being followed

· Maintaining standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations

· Create a positive company culture of a commitment to excellence which must start from the top down

· Work with our Marketing Director to generate sales for our large events program

· Supervise late night hours and closing procedures

· Ease any guest complaints in a high volume environment with grace and charisma

· Oversee Bar team ensuring proper portioning, steps of service etc.

· Manage weekly inventory of bar and restaurant supplies ensuring accuracy and maintaining Cost of Goods sold on budget

Required Skills:

· Must exemplify the highest standards in honesty, integrity, and leadership

· NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certification

· 3-6 years’ experience working in the NYC restaurant business

· Experience working in many levels and departments of the restaurant business with a genuine respect for the role that every team member plays in the restaurant’s success

· Proven team player willing to roll up your sleeves

· Must be comfortable with late night hours

· Excellent communication skills

· A good sense of humor and passion for hospitality

· A passive ego to maintain a positive attitude with employees and guests

· A natural (not contrived) warmth and charisma

· A calm confidence and unflappable demeanor

· The ability to remember names and faces

· A contagious passion for the bar/restaurant industry

· The ability to cultivate a good time and keep it going
