Description
Bohemian Boutique Hotel in West Hollywood seeks a well groomed, do it all, creative, fast moving and generally interesting individual to fill the position of our rooftop host.
An 80 all-suite hotel, featuring a Private Rooftop with a Garden, indoor/ outdoor lounge spaces, a saltwater pool and 360 degree views of the Hollywood hills -- our hotel attracts an eclectic, elegant and largely European clientele. We operate on the premise that excellent customer service can be delivered to our guests while our staff maintains a familial, respectful, positive and fun working environment.
Our ideal candidate possess an excellent work ethic, a positive attitude and a natural aptitude for absorbing new information quickly. Hosts do a lot of everything here, so a willingness to jump in when needed is a must. Previous experience greeting/seating guests and answering phones is required. We like people who are unique and outgoing, yet elegant and with perfect manners. If you understand fine dining service, but have an interest in "letting your hair down" and participating in something more warm, intimate and creative - this is the place for you.
As a rooftop Host, you will assist with the pool and dining room. Do not be scared of sunshine!! You will help make reservations, seat guests, sett up of the rooftop and guide guests through the variety of paths they can take with us during their stay/meal,
Flexibility in Schedule Required. No Fear of AMs!!
Requirements:
Work Schedules—
• Flexibility required because schedules are based on actual scheduled, projected Hotel occupancy.
• Position is classified into shifts, i.e. AM and PM.
• All employees must be available to work weekends/holidays. Language Skills:
•Ability to read, write, and verbally communicates effectively and professionally with other departments, guests, and vendors in English.
•Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
•Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
Physical Ability:
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, push, pull, stand, walk, and talk or hear.
•The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone.
•The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
