Description
Bohemian Boutique Hotel in West Hollywood seeks a well groomed, do it all, creative, fast moving and generally interesting individual to fill the position of our rooftop manager. This is either in the PM hours (6-2am) or AM (6am-3pm) so you must be clear about your love for either the evenings or when the sun comes up. THE Pm manager must be comfortable jumping in behind the bar! If you have a passion for wine, this role previously oversaw the wine program and would be a desired attribute in a candidate though not required.

An 80 all-suite hotel, featuring a Private Rooftop with a Garden, indoor/ outdoor lounge spaces, a saltwater pool and 360 degree views of the Hollywood hills -- our hotel attracts an eclectic, elegant and largely European clientele. We operate on the premise that excellent customer service can be delivered to our guests while our staff maintains a familial, respectful, positive and fun working environment. We are not corporate, we are a family of Bohemians.

Our ideal candidate possess an excellent work ethic, a positive attitude, lots of energy and a natural aptitude for leadership. A manager does a lot of everything here in this small hotel, and we are looking for someone to assist in developing better systems and service as we evolve. Getting to know our regular clientele and building relationships with everyone from our yoga teacher to our tarot card reader. Flexibility in Schedule Required. Shifts are usually from 5:30pm-2am.

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

•High school diploma; some college preferred.
•Minimum 6 yrs. experience in food and beverage industry
•Prior experience within a full-service hotel property is preferred


Comprehensive knowledge of fine dining procedures and protocol required in order to function proficiently as well as train.

• Convenes weekly BEO meetings to review event details with Event Sales Manager, Director of Food & Beverage, and other pertinent personnel. Thorough review of BEO’s to ensure adherence and compliance with all client expectations. Responsible for set-up of all Special Events, and will act as Banquet Captain for any events as assigned by Director of Food & Beverage.

• Guest relations skill in table touching as well as in recovery situations.

• Promoting a great sense of teamwork and positively motivating staff.

• Responsible for financial and cash accountability.

• Manager required to fulfill server duties as necessary to properly cover schedule (i.e. if slow, one server is sent home and Manager covers that shift with second server).

• Maintain discipline thru corrective counseling sessions and write-up procedures.

• Uphold all Hotel state and municipal laws/rules/policies, including any code or health related issues.

• Must be completely familiar with all hotel policies and company handbook, and must adhere to all such policies and oversee staff accordingly.

• Establish and maintain a strong sense of order and structure with adherence to SOP’s, checklists and assignments
