Description
Santa Monica Proper Hotel is looking for a Director of Revenue Management. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room hotel will feature interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool, 8,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and almost 7,000 square feet of ground floor retail.

The Director of Revenue Management is responsible for identifying and maximizing all potential revenue opportunities for the hotel. This includes the analysis of revenue potential generated by the transient and group market segments as well as the market segmentation within transient and group.

Responsibilities:
Develop property specific strategies and tactics to maximize revenues by performing the necessary analysis including but not limited to the following:
• Historical demand analysis
• Forecasted demand
• Current production
• STR comp set analysis
• Business mix analysis
• Demand/blackout date calendar
• Assist and develop annual room revenue budgets by market segments along with property and brand leadership

Qualifications:
• 5 or more years of experience in the hotel industry, specifically the Los Angeles market
• Previous management responsibility required
• Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing
• Proficiency in Excel required
• Understanding of general hotel operations and the philosophy of yield management required

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required
