Description
Villon is seeking a passionate Pastry Cook. Villon, situated in San Francisco Proper Hotel, features creative contemporary American cuisine, rich with unexpected twists and inspiration drawn from San Francisco's bountiful culinary culture, seasonal ingredients, and global influences. Situated in the restored historic lobby of San Francisco Proper Hotel of a nearly 100-year-old building, Villon spans three distinct spaces by world-renowned interior designer Kelly Wearstler.

Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare all menu items in accordance standards set by the Pastry Chef
- Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food on the station prior to and during service
- Responsible for pastry production and plating during service
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Answer, report and follow instructions from the Pastry Chef, Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers and all storage areas
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with guests and colleagues


Qualifications
- A technical culinary program degree with pastry emphasis or a minimum of one year of technical pastry experience
- Solid time management skills
- Passionate and detail-oriented
- Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Experience in fine dining is preferred
