Position: Banquet Bartender

Department/Outlet: Food & Beverage

Leader: Manager/Supervisor

Overview:
As a member of the PUBLIC team, you are an ambassador of the brand. You are passionate about your role and always curious about how to make a guest’s experience memorable. Just imagine that you are the host of a party in your own home and each customer is your guest. Your words are sincere and you treat everyone with the utmost respect while being empathetic to their needs. Responsibilities/Duties:

− Perform all necessary tasks for bar according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order) for the Event
− Efficiently and properly performs all service and sequence of service standards.
− Set up and break down the bar area.
− Maintain inventory at par levels.
− Must be able to plan and organize efficiently and be able to work within the times specified in the BEO
− Direct the work of Barbacks
− To anticipate guest needs and to attend to this need to promote guest satisfaction and relations effectively. Recognize repeat guests.
− Assure the proper handling of VIPs. Protect their privacy and confidentiality.
− Maintain upkeep of Banquet equipment to ensure longest useable life.
− Prepare and serve drinks according to recipes for guests and servers.
− Ensure standardization and consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality.
− Check identification for proof of age when required.
− Provide food service as appropriate.
− Invite and welcome guests back upon completion of their visit.
− Prepare bar for next shift.
− Must have extensive knowledge of a variety of alcoholic beverages
− Must have extensive experience in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
− Must have the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
− Must have the ability to lift heavy items and have the ability to organize multiple orders.
− Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Count bank on a daily basis.
− Ensure the order and cleanliness of the bar is in accordance to health and safety regulations.
− Ensuring compliance to all hotel policies and procedures at all levels.
− To report for duty punctually and in proper dress code
− To attend training and meetings as and when required.
− Undertake any reasonable task and secondary duties as assigned by the Management.

− Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of employees, hotel guests and property. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency of safety situations.
− Knowledgeable about the company you work for, i.e. locations, cuisine, etc.
− Knowledgeable about surroundings, i.e. nearby entertainment, theaters, etc.
− Maintains an innovative technical expertise through attendance of meetings and review of current literature and trends.


Qualifications:

− Must have minimum of 2 years of Banquet experience in a similar level hotel
− Computer literacy to include: Micros
− Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
