MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Desirable University or Tertiary qualification.
• 3 Years’ experience as a Sales Manager and in Key Account Management.
• 4 Years’ experience in the Hotel Industry.
• Fluent in French & English.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
• Strategically drives total profitable revenue and market share growth for the assigned Hotels and segments.
• Negotiating Group Business and coordinating the execution of Group Business with all Hotels within the region in accordance with the Sales Business Plan.
• The job incumbent should be active, proactive, analyzing, and achieving results in every respect.
• All work will be in line with the region’s guidelines, Business plan, The Radisson Hotel Group corporate guidelines and service concepts.
• To support and work alongside the Regional Director of Sales, Hotel Director of sales and other Sales teams of designated areas to drive strategic commercial activity.
• Drive performance and market share.
• Represent Radisson Hotel Group at meetings as requested.
TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maximizes Revenue
• Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within the assigned market segments.
• Assists in the development of annual sales targets.
• Assist the Regional Director of Sales with monthly reporting.
• Ensures own function operates within cost parameters.
• Maintains effective correspondence between clients, Hotels, ASO etc.
• Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for both group business and Individual business by soliciting, selling and confirming business as required.
• Develops data and recommends programs to meet client’s needs.
• Prepares proposals with the Regional Director of Sales to maximize profit.
• Use sales calls to solicit existing and new clients.
• Coordinates activities related to business on the books with Hotels within the Region.
• Ensures maximum occupancies by performing follow up contact with Hotels within the Region.
• Increases sales volumes and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market segments.
Sales Strategy and Delivery
• Conducts regular meetings with the Regional Director of Sales to set objectives and to ensure that action plans are in place for the Region or designated area/market segment.
• Identifies new business opportunities or strategies and shares with the regional Director of Sales.
• Create and drive new sales plans when applicable within market segment.
• Achieves overall Sales targets for specific market segments.
• Implements strategies to facilitate market penetration for increased national and international production to meet increasing demands reflecting in the change and growth of the Company.
• Conducts client inspections to secure business or confirm new business.
• Increases sales volumes and profitability by formulating and executing projects for all market segments for the Region.
• Reviews market analysis to determine client needs, occupancy potential, desired and competitive rates etc.
• Drive and maintain overall sales to gain new business development opportunities and monitor completion of pro-active sales activities and projects.
Role & Responsibilities
• Account Management of own assigned accounts – both existing and new.
• Drive all revenue (transient and M&E) and market share growth for the Region through the focus on a selected portfolio of existing and new accounts.
• Develop knowledge of each account, its pipeline, supplier management and strategic focus.
• Create consultative selling approach to maximize commercial opportunities.
• Work on a 360-degree account management approach to ensure account development is properly implemented at all levels.
• Secure strategy implementation and coordination with global account managers.
• Drive Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing and Exhibitions (MICE) revenue and market share growth for the Region through the focus on a selected portfolio of existing accounts and new accounts.
• Inspire clients with ideas for venues.
• Promote Loyalty Program for Planners to relevant clients
• Attends all meeting in the absence or upon request of the Regional Director of Sales.
• Attends Radisson Sales Blitz’s and/or trade shows in key market cities to develop new business and to contact established clients in these cities.
