REPORTING
· The Lead IT generally reports to the Curator of the hotel or business unit with a reference (dotted line reporting) to the Area / Corporate IT function of the Radisson Hotel Group.
· The Lead IT is considered a department head on equal level as other operational department heads of the hotel and will as such attend the department head meetings.
GENERAL
· The Lead IT is expected to act in the best interest of the Radisson Hotel Group, its hotels, its owners and its partners.
· The Lead IT will be a trusted, Senior member of the Hotel / business unit.
· The Lead IT is subject to all general rules and regulations issued by the Radisson Hotel Group and must as such ensure all decisions are in accordance with said.
· He or she must actively participate in all public discussions regarding systems functionality etc. defend the systems deployed and seek methods to make the best out of existing systems. In cases where the existing systems are unable to support the operations satisfactory, the Lead IT should facilitate an objective discussion on what is required and how that could best be accomplished.
· In case of a system breakdown or other systems interruptions, he or she will first of all inform the users and then support them trying to help them overcome the problem best possible.
SYSTEMS OPERATION
· Review and complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies. A snap shot of Operational activities include:
· Ensure daily operation of all installed systems, i.e. giving the system users the agreed system availability and quality of operation.
· Schedule, perform and verify regular data and system back-up’s
· Schedule and secure periodic tasks, such as disk space monitoring and housekeeping, night audit, month-end procedures etc. according to established check-lists (daily weekly, monthly etc.)
· Assure periodic preventive maintenance is carried out according to specified recommendations from the systems/equipment manufacturer and Corporate IT.
· Daily verification of the functioning of the guest High Speed Internet service.
USER ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE
· Review and Complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies. A snap shot of user maintenance activities include:
· Maintain individual user accounts with authorisation levels in accordance with Radisson Hotel Group IT Policies and Standards.
· Ensure password policies are implemented and followed
· Periodic review of user accounts to ensure alignment with current assignment.
END USER SUPPORT
· Review and Complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies. A snap shot of user supporting activities include:
· Device support (PC, mobile devices, POS stations etc.), including clean up, disk defragmentation, etc.
· Application support
· Email and software support
· The Lead IT will participate in training of end users and should maintain reasonable and up-to-date application skills of installed applications.
· The Lead IT is responsible for maintaining training material and facilitating training sessions for end-users.
· All new hires are to complete the IT Introduction Training within the first month of employment.
· Maintain IT security awareness training course as per policy requirements.
· All new hires are to complete the IT security awareness training within the first month of employment. Existing employees to be retrained annually.
LICENCE MANAGEMENT
· Review and Complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies
· Maintain a log of software licenses owned
· Maintain a log of software licenses deployed
PLANNING, BUDGETING AND MANAGEMENT CONSULTING
· The Lead IT will assist in the preparation of RHG business plans, annual operational IT budgets and capital investment plans, as well as running forecasts, for the general IT operations of the hotel / business unit
· The Lead IT is responsible for financial follow-up of actual expenses compared with budget, forecasts etc.
· The Lead IT is responsible for suggesting improvements in data processing or other relevant areas that will serve the company best from a profit point of view.
· Maintains contact with all system suppliers, both on a key account level, but also on technical level with relevant service engineers.
· Participate in the negotiations for service and maintenance agreements for installed systems.
· Participate in the purchasing activities concerning IT Equipment and Services, ensuring best available price and adherence to Radisson Hotel Group Purchasing agreements and policies.
COMPLIANCE
· Review and Complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies. A snap shot of the compliance activities include:
· The Lead IT is responsible for maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding Radisson Hotel Group IT Policies and Standards and as such act as the hotels local knowledge base and management partner in the area of IT.
· The Lead IT will ensure all Data-Processing control routines as specified in the Corporate IT Policies are complied with.
· Ensure that all systems are hardened in accordance with Radisson Hotel Group hardening standards and that the latest security patches are applied at all times.
· Periodic change of the data encryption keys on all credit card processing applications according to PCI-DSS standards.
DOCUMENTATION
· Review and Complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies. A snap shot of the documentation activities include:
· Maintain general operational procedures according to policies and standards.
· Maintain systems documentation for all applications and platforms
· Maintain Business Continuity and Recovery documentation
· Maintain a systems inventory and network diagram including all hardware and software.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Review and Complete all Radisson Hotel Group documented Hotel IT Activities in accordance with Corporate IT policies. A snap shot of the Change Management activities include:
Any change to implemented systems are subject to the Radisson Hotel Group policy and procedure on Change Management. Changes included, but not limited to:
· Hardware replacement
· Software replacement or upgrades
· System services modifications, such as DNS, DHCP, IP etc.
· As a general policy, Radisson Hotel Group does not allow systems development on site, but instead deploys standard software as far as possible.
· In special cases the Lead IT can become involved in local adaptations and/or integration work of standard packages. Such work must be done in agreement with the regional and corporate IT functions and follows established Change Management procedures.
